ADDING MUSIC AND SOUND EFFECTS
First, I found a scary song on a special resource and downloaded it. Then, imported it into my project and put directly in the timeline. So that now video looks more mysterious. I also synchronised music with my video, so that it looked better and more tensed.
ADDING SPECIAL EFFECTS
I will talk about that peace of my project here.
I used Adobe After Effects to make my titles more attractive and stylish. As I was doing horror film opening, I added some scary backgrounds and animations on titles.
ADDING TITLES
Adding titles is an important thing in film opening. Titles have to represent all the people who have taken part in producing the film. As you can see, I chose a special font for my titles to make them look scary. Found this font on a site www.dafont.com.
I went to category with scary fonts and luckily found the one I would liked to see in my film opening. I found it really attractive. One of the main characteristics I wanted my font to be scary and horrify viewers.

Than I downloaded the file of the font and followed the instructions given at the site.
When I've installed the font I went to my project and started to make titles. To do that I clicked on a button "New Item" and chose "Title..." as you can see on a screenshot.
Than I renamed the title and chose a name "Kent College" for it.
By clicking "OK" button I proceed to a screen where I could operate with the title.
On the screenshot above I am choosing the font that I have downloaded earlier.
Than by using the "type tool" I type "Kent College" and then make the title smaller or bigger with "selecting tool". I made the title bigger as it was the only thing I wanted to show in this shot.
Then I choose a title and dragged it in the working space.
WORKING WITH THE VOLUME AND BRIGHTNESS
In some cases there was too much light in shots. I fixed it by reducing the brightness in Adobe Premiere Pro as it shown on the screenshot below. To do that I put the brightness line on the clip down as you can see on the screenshot.
The same problem sometimes appear with sound. In some cases I reduced the volume because it was too loud or there were unwanted sounds. In some cases I increased it to stretch viewer's attention.
As you can see on the screenshot, in the second shot the volume is put down. I've done that by putting the volume line on the soundtrack down.

Now, I'm starting to use Adobe After Effects. My targets are :
1. Chose a background for the first scene.
2. To make title in the end of the film appear and disappear in an interesting way.
Firstly, I chose HDTV 1080 24 as a preset.
Then, I'm trying different backgrounds for the heading of my film. (The Run)
When I was rendering an effect, I suddenly had a problem. The program exported only sound, no video image. I solved it by putting a tick in "Video Output". Now it works!

Last screenshot represents the process of editing an effect. |
When finished with effect, I put it in render queue and export it straight in my Adobe Premier Pro project.
As you can see below, I put a background made in After Effects in my project.
I've done the same with the ending title of my film. Also, I added couple of good-looking animations.
Applying Video Transmutations
Here is a screenshot of a my project in Premiere Pro.
To apply effects on a clip I went to the effects panel in the left bottom of the screen and chose a cross dissolve effect.
Then I apply the effect by dragging the effect icon onto the video clip. To apply the effect at the end of the clip I put the effect icon there.
Working with Continuity editing.
Continuity editing was highly important in our film opening sequence. As its' pace is quite fast we had to use a lot of different shots from different angles not to let viewers be bored while watching our film opening.
As you can see, when George goes out of the arc he knocks the random person on the street. This is filmed from one angle.
